We run sewing centres in the tribal villages, often each will have around 15-20 students. The centres are very popular and the girls are always eager to learn this useful skill. This is a great opportunity to show God's love by helping them practically, teaching young girls a skill that they can use to tailor their own and their families clothes and helping them to earn a little money to help support their families. It also develops good relationships with the villages and makes a way for them to know they are loved and special.

We are also exploring options for developing a range of items that could be sold in the west, to establish a small business that could give the graduates opportunity for employment and also enable the sewing ministry to be more sustainable.
Any such range could also draw attention to the needs and poverty in India and the benefits of fair trade. Prototypes for clothing have been produced and some simple accessories are having their first trial on the UK market!
